TMO //Film: Text Q&A With Cassandra Hepburn
By: TheMonthlyOnline.com

Cassandra Hepburn - Actress
31 Hollywood, CA

Q) First Cassandra, thanks for taking the time out of your day to answer these questions. I know you are busy and I truly appreciate your time. So my first question for you is, How are you today, right here and now?

A) Hello  I am very well thank you and I had such a fantastic 4th of July here in Los Angeles!  How was your 4th?

Q) My 4th was great thanks. Uneventful but relaxing.  So on a light note, this Hungry for Food!!!question gets some silly replies, but since you are a beautiful actress so I’ll run with it. What were you doing just before this?

A) Well to be honest I was just cooking breakfast for myself and then got on the computer checked emails and now here I am answering questions before I go to my next meeting….Sorry not so interesting or funny.

Q) That is seemingly normal. Some of the things people are doing would surprise people. Cassandra I want to ask, you were born in the Philippines if I am not mistaken, did you spend much of your time in your homeland? Do you ever visit the Philippines now?

A) Yes I was born in the Philippines but left when I was 3 years old to New Mexico then traveled quite bit because of my father who worked in government so yes I have traveled the world about 6 continents and hundreds of cities!  Not joking then of course as I got older in my teens I started traveling on my own at 14 years because of modeling and eventually found acting as a mental release at a later age.

Q) That is interesting to know. So as your acting career unfolded, was there a specific role that you might say played the largest part in your career? To be more specific, was there one role that turned the corner for you as a tried and true professional to the entire industry?

A)  Wow that is a good question.  I don’t know if it was one role because each and every role whether it be television, theater or films really was a huge part of establishing me as an actress and I’m very much fond of every role I was fortunate enough to be a part of in all the projects I have done.  I quite enjoy all three genres of acting:  Film, Theater and television.  To be quite frank, “I really love what I do and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to make it a career for myself.  And it is because of people who gave me the opportunity to get up and express my talents and the audience enjoying what I do.  It really is such a thrill to move, motivate and invigorate an audience!  I can’t stress it enough that I really love acting and that really is the point isn’t it.  If you love what you do then you could do it forever in whatever field it is because you wouldn’t call it work but a passionate vocation.

Q) You have a good amount of experience acting on daytime series as well, such as “The Young and The Restless” and “Days of Our Lives”. Is acting for TV any different than acting for a movie/movie set?

A) Yes I have done daytime soaps and quite enjoyed the experience and love the education it gave me since it is a three camera operation where is film is literally one camera.  Daytime has taught me a lot about blocking, positioning, lighting and everything technical about acting for the camera.  I highly recommend it to actors since you really get a sense of you as the artist in relation to the camera where eventually you instinctively know what the director and DP is looking for and it behooves you to understand the other side of the camera because the director will appreciate your professionalism and takes less time for them to have to take you through it since you basically know what you as the actor have to do.  I really am grateful for the invaluable experience!

Q) What is the latest project that you were a part of and what roles do you have coming up in the near future?

A)  Well I played Maria in Tarantino Presents: Hellride  directed by Larry Bishop and played Woody Harrelson’s wife “Luanne” in Matthew McConaughey project Surfer Dude and just wrapped on an indie film called:  A Voice in the Dark which is a psychological thriller about the end of the world and I played “Daphne” in that plus I am working on training to do more action movies since I do have a very physical background of gymnastics, martial arts, dance and wire work.  That is all I can say but can’t say anymore than that for that project.

Q) Which do you prefer, TV or movies? Are the rewards much greater for movies?

A) As I have stated I really enjoy all three genres:  Movies, Television and Theater.  Just to be working on my craft as an actress even if I had to perform on the streets acting would be fantastic!  I actually have when I was in NY 5 of my classmates would walk around Greenwich Village and we would literally do improv skits at postcard shops, stores, restaurants and our audience were the people who happen to be there at that moment and the audience would think that the situation was real and then we would end it with, “Thank you ladies and gentlemen, we hope you enjoyed the show and run out!  That was the best times.

Q) What else is going on in Cassandra Hepburn’s world besides work? I am sorry to talk so much work, this was supposed to be fun!

A) Oh no worries I don’t think this is work…I find it quite entertaining and love to help other actors if this helps them.  Then I’ve done my job.  Well I have been traveling quite a bit and in fact will be flying back to NY in the late summer for a few weeks for work then to UK for a bit.  So that is what else is happening a lot of traveling.

Q) Ok so if you don’t mind tell me about Cassandra the person? Would your friends consider you an outgoing person?

A) Well I think my friends would call me a very social extrovert.  I love meeting new people from all walks of life because as an actress you are representing the human race as they are.  So this is the best way to understand people and it is a great way to do character study is by observing, listening and lastly talking to people.  As much as I love to be social I do get cluster phobic when I’m in too much of a huge crowd where you are squished in like a sardine that I can’t stand!  And as much as I like being in the public eye as an actress I still get very nervous about it and I introvert a bit where I don’t like paps getting in my face!  I think that there is a time and place for press and photogs to come up to you and that is on a red carpet or event but not on their private time!  It is just plain rude and invading to someone’s space.  That I have to say scares me and still makes me feel uncomfortable.

Q) Are you married, or do you have children? Do you plan to be?

A) No I’m not married but one day would love to be and have a happy family.  Would love to raise a family in Lugano, Switzerland since it is private and they have laws about people’s privacy there so paps are limited to how they can contact you which I respect.

Q) What would you consider “fun-time”? I guess what I am asking is, what are your hobbies?

A) What I consider a fun time is helping other people and getting them to reach their dreams and goals and not be afraid to do so.  I find that fulfilling and enjoy the beauty that each and every single individual brings to this world!  That is why I enjoy traveling because I meet people from all over the world and they fascinate me.

Q) So the next part is something new that I put only the willing through. It's a basic fill in the blank.

Q) So you have done countless interviews and press inquiries, let me ask, what is the single question you would ask yourself if you were in my position?

A) Why do I like to help others and what is it about people that urges me to help them do better?

Q) Has anyone ever asked you that? Do you think that is boring of me, or is that polite?

A) Oddly enough no one has ever asked me that question…I guess that may be boring to some to feel that way.

Q) Ok it is almost the end, I did not want to scare you too bad, being a new publication and all, so let me ask, would you allow me to interview you again, on camera or radio?

A)  Absolutely and you didn’t scare me.  By the way congratulations on your publication this is wonderful for you and wish you all the success that you deserve and desire.
