REMEMBERING "THE KING OF POP" MICHAEL JACKSON

A Day To Remember

My typical day of answering Myspace comments and reading Twitter was going along as any other day, but June 25, 2009 was certainly not any other day. Two American icons passed on to the lord this day leaving many in shock, disbelief and feeling sorrow Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett will always be remembered for their contributions not only to entertainment, but to society as a whole. Farrah Fawcett was 62 and courageously battled cancer for some time now. She will be remembered by all generations as a true American icon and will be missed dearly by many. Michael Jackson, was just 50 on his day of passing and had an upcoming 50-concert tour starting in the UK which was scheduled to begin next month. " The King of Pop" , without a doubt. Many had a hard time living up to this man's accomplishments, in fact nobody ever really has. That nickname could not have been ever more fitting, in the day of self proclaimed "kings" in entertainment, nobody will ever top "The King Of Pop". This is a person that touched lives withinn every single generation on earth today. I was born in 1980, so I consider myself a true 80's baby and a true fan of this man like just about everyone from my generation. If you want to talk about mixed genres, or if you want to talk about being able to do it all, this is the man you would be talking about. An entertainer in the truest form. Those videos of girls crying in concert and people fainting, were oh-so real and although I was never lucky enough to see this man play in concert, I definitely know nobody will ever be at the same caliber, in terms of entertainers. I could not possibly write anything that is not out there already, so being a real music fan I will honor "The King Of Pop" Michael Jackson with what I feel that he would have wanted to been honored with, music, instead of words. Will.I.AM from the Black Eyed Peas said it best earlier today,  "He was a gift to the world, he is a bright light and I wouldn't be surprised if the world stopped spinning tomorrow." Rest in Peace Farrah and Michael.
